Pigs fly through South Australian sewer main
Horizon Industrial and Clearflow Australia have completed a sewer mains cleaning program for SA Water, located in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia.
Pipeline pigs were used to clear choking debris from the 7.5 km sewer main and pumping efficiencies were restored to peak levels.
The pipeline pigs were tracked using state-of-the-art pig locating and tracking equipment. The project was completed in two days and within budget.
The companies have completed pigging services projects on pipelines ranging in size from 50–2,400 mm normal bore diameter over the past 20 years.
